Booking & Deposit
Bookings may be agreed by phone, fax or email and we must receive 25% deposit within 7 working days to confirm the booking. The balance is due eight weeks before your arrival. Payment can be made in either GB Pounds or Euros.
You can post us a UK or Euro cheque or pay direct into our UK bank account.

Once we have received your deposit we will confirm your booking in writing.
Excess Deposit
Please note that we require a excess deposit of
£100 per cottage per week with your balance, which we return by post
less any charges for excess cleaning (the property should
be left in a clean and tidy condition as you would expect to find it. Final
cleaning is included but anything beyond a normal light clean will incur an
additional charge.) breakages (should be notified at the
end of your stay) and logs (charged at £5 per day)
on the first Monday following your departure.
Guests
The cottages are let from 4pm on the day of arrival (usually
Saturday to Saturday, but can vary by prior agreement) and guests must leave
the premises in a clean and tidy condition by 10 am on the day of departure.
Guests must not cause unreasonable nuisance to the owners or any other guests.
The use of the accommodation, equipment or any amenities on site is entirely at the hirer's risk and no responsibility will be accepted for injury, loss or damage to the guests personally, their belongings, or vehicles.
The owners are not insured for theft of their guests' belongings.
The owners shall not be liable to the guests for any temporary or stoppage in the supply of services, nor in the respect of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the cottage or grounds; nor for any other matters beyond the reasonable control of the owners; nor for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the guest should the property be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period other than the amount previously paid by the hirer in respect of the rental period. Under no circumstances shall the owners liability to the hirer exceed the amount paid by the hirer to the owner for the rental period.
All bed linen is provided, but you must bring your own towels and tea towels.
Electric heating is included in the rental price from October to April inclusive, each property has it's own seperate hot water supply which is normally enough for the amount of gueats accommodated. Should more hot water be required then an additional charge will be made for heating the water during the day. Logs for the woodburner fire places (for The Manor, Mill and Leat Cottage only) are extra at approximately £5 per day as required.
Cancellations
Please be aware that once you have made a firm booking,
you are contracting to pay the full cost of the rental.
If you wish to cancel your holiday we will make every effort to re-let the cottage, in which case we will send you a full refund, less the cost of any specific advertising that is necessary.
Please note the later the cancellation, the less likely we will be able to re-let. Guests are advised to take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy to include cancellation cover and full cover for the party's health, property, etc.
